Dale M. Zenner's Bio
Those who knew Dale as a young man may find it hard to believe that he is now a part of a Southern Gospel Group and performs as often as the Lord allows.  This quiet and shy young man grew up listening to all kinds of music, which his father sang to him throughout his youth.  “Until recently, I hadn’t realized that my dad was such an influence in my appreciation for song.”  “Although my dad did not sing professionally or in choirs at church, he seemed to be always singing a song every where we went.  I remember him happy and smiling every time he sang.”

In his late teens, Dale had an opportunity to tryout for a local group who performed at a supper club just outside of St. Cloud MN.  Frightened, but determined, he took the stage for a live audition and was rewarded with the job.  Dale was the featured vocalist for this group for three years before they disbanded.  In later years, Dale would go on to form two other local groups before hanging up the vocal chords in 1994. As his faith deepened, Dale began to get more and more excited about the Lord and began tossing around the idea of forming another group, this time, with the message being the gospel of our Lord.

In 2006 after attending a Bill Gaither Homecoming event at Target Center in Minneapolis, it was a done deal and so the recruiting began for what is now known as Gone Fishin’.

Dale met his lovely bride to be Nancy Barrett in 1978, and it was love at first sight.  Married in 1979, Dale and Nancy have three children, daughters Dayna and Jessica, and a son Derek.  All three are now grown and married.

“I am the most blessed person I know,” says Dale.  “ “I get to sing the greatest music ever written in Southern Gospel, and I also get to sing and share the entire experience with my beautiful wife.”  “The Lord has given me an opportunity to share His Love with the World, and to be an example for others to follow.”  “I am now an instrument of the Lord!”  “I have purpose and I am complete!”
