Gone Fishin': Meet the Group

Inspired by current artists such as; The Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, The Isaacs, The Booth Brothers, The Hoppers, as well as classic gospel from groups like the Cathedrals, Gone Fishin’ Southern Gospel Group was formed to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through a musical gospel ministry.

The name “Gone Fishin’” came to us directly from the Lord, and definitely implies that we are “Fishers Of Men”. (Matthew 4:19 – “Come follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”) The group consists of 3 male vocalists, 2 female vocalists, and last but certainly not least, 1 sound and lighting technician. To our knowledge, you will not find a group similar to ours in the upper Midwest.

This group has a very unique and distinctive sound with a warm and wonderful blend of harmonies that capture the attention of all in attendance. Couple those rich harmonies with a classy touch of humor, and thoughtful inspiration, and you will be witness to a faith filled event like no other. With backgrounds in music and theatre, this group is well schooled in the arts and performs with an energy that radiates throughout the crowd. Gone Fishin’ delivers the gospel of our Lord in such a way, that people are moved beyond their belief. It is not unusual for those in attendance to come forward after each performance and share their own personal experiences with the group. Although based out of central Minnesota, we believe the Lord is calling us to spread his word throughout the land and we are prepared to go where He leads.
