Nancy Zenner's Bio
Nancy was born and raised in the Central Minnesota town of St. Cloud.  Music was a way-of-life in her family of two sisters and one brother.

Her father, Dr. Roger Barrett, was a music professor and bandleader at St. Cloud State University, and her mother, Darlene, was an accomplished vocalist.  Some of Nancy’s fondest memories were sitting in Stewart Hall, in the evenings, and watching her father direct the pit orchestra during rehearsals for the yearly musical.  She recalls,” I could sing every song, and by the age of 12, fell in love with every leading man.  I stood proudly in my father’s shadow for many years.”  Nancy remembers fondly, her mother’s amazing vocal performance of “O Holy Night” with the University Choir and Orchestra.  “Her voice had exceptional control, and graceful expression.  She had an amazing vocal range.”  Nancy explained. Nancy and her two sisters, Vicky and Barbie, combined vocal talents in the 90’s, and calling themselves The Barrett Sisters, performed during the Christmas season in various venues.  Nancy explained, “The blend was incredible!  It’s in the genes.”  Nancy is past musical director, and vocalist, of her church worship band; as well as choir director.  But Nancy says music has been left as her “hobby”.

Elementary Education was her career goal, and Christian Education became her “calling”.  Nancy states “ I knew about Jesus most of my life; but I became a follower of Jesus Christ in the fall of 1991.  As I grew in my faith, He opened a door for me to teach at The St. Cloud Christian School.  “It’s been a blessing to me.”
Just when Nancy thought things couldn’t get any better, her husband Dale was lead, by the Lord, to form their Southern Gospel Group - Gone Fishin’.  Nancy exclaimed, “The Lord is so good to me.  I have the privilege of singing exciting music with my wonderful husband and sister, while spreading the Good News of the Gospel.  We are building God’s Kingdom on Earth 1 song at a time.”

Nancy and Dale have three adult children, 4 grandchildren… and one black lab…”Snickers”.
